Denise Rogers
Denise Rogers, 53, of Leesburg, Ind., passed away at 12:52 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2014, in her home after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer.
She was born Oct. 13, 1960, in Columbia City, Ind., to Glen and Delores (Dishman) Vanator. She was a 25-year resident of Kosciusko County, Ind.
On Aug. 25, 1990, in North Webster, Ind., she was united in marriage to David Rogers. Amazing Canvas of North Webster employed her as an upholstery cutter since 2012. She was formerly employed by Ace Flowers of Warsaw and was a self-employed Avon representative.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Post 253 of North Webster, the Women’s League, Wawasee Bowl and the Women’s Nine Hole League at South Shore Golf Course in Syracuse, Ind.
Denise is survived by her husband: David Rogers; a son: Zachary Rogers, Leesburg; her mother: Delores Vanator; sisters: Janet Kiser and Nancy Howell, both of North Webster; and a brother: Gary Vanator, North Webster.
She was preceded in death by her father: Glen.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 17, at the North Webster American Legion Post #253. Chaplain Karen Sittler of the North Webster American Legion Auxiliary will officiate.
