NORTH WEBSTER – Shouts of “BINGO” will be heard on Wednesday, July 9, starting at 10:30 a.m. when the kids gather to play Storybook BINGO with Youth Services clerk Miss Debbie. The kids will be using cards with storybook characters as they race to bingo by matching storybook characters.
Kids of all ages will have fun playing and will play as many games as time allows. Winners will get to choose from a large selection of prizes. If your child is participating in the Summer Reading Program, be sure they bring their Reading Passport to get stamped. Storybook BINGO takes place in the North Webster Community Center Banquet Hall.
The teens will gather the next day on Thursday, July 10, at 4:30 p.m., for the Teens Only Movie in the Library Meeting Room. Showing is a sci-fi action spy flick about two agents who dress in black and team up to stop an evil alien from destroying the future. It’s rated PG-13 and runs 98 minutes. The movie is free and so is the popcorn.
You’re never too old to outgrow the fun of Legos. So grab your kid and bring them to the Second Saturday Lego Club on Saturday, July 12, at 1:00 p.m. On the second Saturday of each month kids ages 5-12 have fun building with Legos. Dads and moms are invited to join in the fun. The LEGOs are provided, and no advance sign-up is needed. Children under age nine must be accompanied by an adult.
Learn about the importance of exercise at Lose It At The Library weekly weight loss support group on Monday, July 7, at 5:30 when RN Mary Erb presents a program on “How Much You Move.”
The North Webster Hiking Club will be doing plenty of moving when they hike the River Preserve Park in Benton on Thursday, July 10. The group will leave from the library at 5:00 p.m. and travel by car pool to Benton located on U.S. 33 four miles south of Goshen. The group will hike along the canal that was once the site of early mill operations.
The River Preserve Park is ranked among the top 80 wildlife viewing areas listed in the Indiana Wildlife Viewing Guide. So join us for some great wildlife viewing among the good company of fellow hikers. Details are available at the library, by calling (574) 834-7122 ext. 205 or emailing [email protected]. First time hikers must sign a liability waiver and emergency medical form.
