Fort Wayne – Here’s an eggs-cellent way to spend a Sunday afternoon: attend Science Central’s Egg-Stravaganza on Sunday, July 13th, an official Three Rivers Festival event. We’ll be debating which came first…the chicken or the egg…as we celebrate a variety of activities dedicated to both.

Sunday admission to Science Central will be just $1.00 per person, as Best FM WAJI presents their 95.1 Dollar Day at Science Central, a long-standing festival tradition.

At 1 p.m., the Design Collaborative Egg Drop Competition begins, and eggs will fly from the roof of Science Central to the ground below in contraptions specially designed to protect the eggs. It’s fun for all as contestants prepare flying machines ranging from melons loaded with eggs to giant pinwheels to convey an egg to the ground. This competition is open to all ages, and there is no fee to enter. Pre-registration may be done on Science Central’s website at: http://sciencecentral.org/programs-on-site/2013-12-13-22-03-39/egg-drop. Registration can also be completed on-site in advance of the event. Pre-registered participants will receive a free pass to Science Central.

To help protect the “good egg” kids who turn out to watch the Egg Drop Competition, the Indiana Wayne Lodge Fraternal Order of Police will be on hand to distribute free bike helmets, provided by the Neuro, Spine & Pain Center, while supplies last.

The Fort Wayne Quaker Steak & Lube Restaurant will also be on hand at the event, offering free kids meals, while supplies last.

And, Science Central’s day sponsor, www.IndianaK12.com, will also be on hand to provide information on their online educational programming.
