Levi Riggs Rocks the Kosciusko Fair
Many sounds have been emanating from the Kosciusko County Community Fairgrounds this week.
Most of those sounds have been roaring engines, livestock and carnival rides, but on Wednesday night it was the sweet sound of country music coming out of the grandstand. Up-and-coming country artist Levi Riggs, the only marquee musical performer at the 2014 Kosciusko County Community Fair this year, kept the crowd entertained.
Playing from a flatbed trailer, and sounding really good playing from that flatbed trailer, Riggs and his band performed a spirited set of original tunes and popular covers. Among the crowd were several queen contestants, donning their tiaras and sashes, clapping along and snapping numerous selfies.
Riggs, originally from Danville, is no stranger to the stage. He’s been performing since he was 10. Since setting out on his solo career, Riggs has opened for country music icons like Jo Dee Messina (who’ll be playing Warsaw in the near future), Jason Aldean and Travis Tritt.
Just last month, Riggs climbed to number 35 on the Music Row Charts. His latest single, “I’m Good,” has been rising up the charts this year.
From the Kosciusko County Community Fair, Riggs is back on the road, hitting many other cities in the Hoosier state this summer and performing with the likes of Aaron Tippin, Trace Adkins and Brett Michaels.
