Nappanee Library Offers New Storytime Option
Eudora Welty once said, “Listening children know stories are there. When their elders sit and begin, children are just waiting and hoping for one to come out, like a mouse from its hole.”
Listening children of all ages are invited to a new series of family story times at the Nappanee Public Library on Tuesday afternoons. The fall session of Tuesday Tales will be held every other week from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., beginning Aug. 5. Library staff and special guest storytellers will share a variety of enchanting classic and modern stories.
NPL Librarian, Mrs. Cheryl Myers, will kick off the series with a telling of the adventures of Epossumondas by Coleen Salley on Aug. 5.
On Tuesday, Aug. 19, former WaNee School Teacher, Mrs. Honey Walters, will share books by two of her favorite authors: Hooway for Wodney Wat by Helen Lester and Lilly’s Purple Plastic Purse by Kevin Henkes. Additional books may be read based on the audience.
No registration is required.
