Ada Ruth Meredith, 101, of Pierceton, Ind., passed away Aug. 11, 2014.

She was born in Pierceton on May 2, 1913, the daughter of Albert and Edith (Menzie) Leifer. She was formerly of Traverse City, Mich., and Orland Park, Ill.

She graduated from Pierceton High School and nursing school in Chicago, Ill. She enjoyed traveling, quilting, gardening and her parakeets.

Ada Ruth is survived by her children: Janis Uthe, Connie Courtade and Louis Meredith; and four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her husband: Louis.

A graveside service will be held in Pierceton.
