Warsaw Air Show Is Underway
The Warsaw Air Show officially began at 3 p.m. today and continues through Saturday at the Warsaw Municipal Airport. (See related)
On tap for tonight are plane v. car races from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., a balloon glow at dusk and an aerobatic performance by Alan Hoover in a Stearman plane. Airplane, balloon and helicopter rides will be provided on a first-come first-serve basis this evening.
Tonight will also have performance practices and the opening of the C-54 “Candy Bomber” tours (the Candy Bomber will not be open from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.) Then, stick around for the 7:30 p.m. musical performance of The Time Travelers.
The air show will open bright and early on Saturday (see related) with balloon rides, aircraft arrivals and displays at 7 a.m. A model aircraft demonstration starts at 10 a.m. A patriotic skydiving routine will kick of the air show performances, held from noon to 4 p.m.
