Emergency personnel were called to respond to an accident that occurred at North 475 East and East Armstrong Road at 6:02 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 17.

Though original reports indicated three vehicles were involved in a collision at the intersection, the accident occurred between two vehicles owned by Ruth C. Stanton, 53, of Warsaw and Sarah Landolt, 32, of Warsaw.

According to an accident report filed by the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department, Stanton was traveling west on 500 North attempting to make a left turn onto 475 East when Landolt turned in front of her vehicle. A witness to the accident noted that Stanton had gone off the road several times prior to the accident and did not stop at the intersection before turning and Stanton did note she had been very fatigued while driving.

Both vehicles airbags did deploy and though EMS was called to the scene, both parties refused any further medical treatment. Stanton complained of head and neck pains and Landolt complained of foot pain and chest pain.

Damages are estimated to cost up to $10,000 in repairs.
