Sunday, Aug. 17, 10:10 p.m. South Buffalo Street. Drivers: Penny J. Small, 51, West 800 South, Claypool; and Matthew A. Schmidt, 19, South Southwood Drive, Warsaw. Small was traveling northbound on South Buffalo Street approaching Winona Avenue in front of Marsh when Schmidt stopped his vehicle suddenly in front of her due to a pedestrian walking into the roadway, causing Small to rear-end Schmidt’s vehicle. Spaulding had swelling to his left ankle area and lower portion of his calf. He also had abrasions to his back.
