Warsaw Posts Season Best In Wins
WINONA LAKE – A little rain wasn’t about to damper the performance of the Warsaw girls’ golf team Thursday.
The host Tigers posted a season-best team score to defeat Wabash and Tippecanoe Valley in wet conditions at the Stonehenge Golf Club.
Senior standout Alexis Manwaring earned medalist honors with a 41 as Warsaw shot 177 to improve to 6-2 on the season.
Wabash shot 237 and the Vikings 275 in the non-conference triangular.
The Tigers also got personal best 9-hole scores from the trio of Page Desenberg, Madi Graham and Ash Jain in the varsity match. Desenberg shot a 44, while both Graham and Jain came in with a 46.
Kristen Watson had a season-best score with a 45 for the Tigers. Morgen Fuentes shot a 51.
Warsaw will compete in the New Haven Invitational on Saturday at Whispering Creek.
