Valley MS Runners Compete
The duo of Taylor Gunter and Haley Hoover each noted top 10 finishes Thursday to lead the Tippecanoe Valley Middle School girls cross country team to a third place finish in the LaVille Invitational.
Gunter placed seven overall in a time of 14:56 and Hoover was ninth in 15:15.
Lincoln won the girls meet with a team score of 23. Caston was second with 44, followed by Valley in third with 57. LaVille and Oregon-Davis did not have a team score.
Alyssa Bell placed 12th overall in a time of 16:16 for Valley. Lorena Santiago was 15th in 16:21, followed by Gabby Olson in 16th (16:22), Ava Craig in 20th (16:38), Karma Stiles in 27th (18:10), Bethany Johnson in 29th (18:56), Shae Clingerman in 33rd (20:11) and Taylor Biddle in 37th (27:47).
Colt Demske placed 13th in a time of 14:19 and Evan Lowman was 14th in 14:20 to lead the Valley boys team.
Layne Prater finished 32nd in a time of 15:45 and Payton Mills was 34th in 15:52 for Valley.
Lincoln won the boys team title with a score of 26. Caston was second with 43, followed by Oregon-Davis with 66 and LaVille with 72. Valley did not have a team score.
