The Indiana Seaplane Pilots Association, Fort Wayne, has applied for a creation of a public seaplane base to be established on Webster Lake. The application was filed with the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, Division of Law Enforcement.

Individuals objecting to the creation of a base can file a petition with the central office of the division requesting an informal hearing by Sept. 30. The petition must be signed by 25 individuals over the age of 18 who reside within the county.

Individuals can also request the division notify a petition in writing when an initial determination is made to issue or deny the application. Petitioners can also request administrative review of the determination under state statute.
