The Whitko boys soccer team collected a 1-0 win over Mississinewa on Saturday.

The host Wildcats got the lone goal early in the second half from senior Keegan Hicks. Senior Johannes Bingham picked up the assist on the game winners.

Whitko keeper Jacob Helton came up with 23 saves in posting the shutout.

Volleyball Team Places Fourth

The Whitko volleyball squad placed fourth in the eight-team Garrett Tournament.

The Wildcats went 1-2 on the day.

Whitko is now 4-7 on the season.

Girls Soccer Blanked

The Whitko girls soccer team lost 2-0 to Mississinewa at home Saturday.

Goalie Ilyssa Bennett had 13 saves for the Wildcats.
