Champions Of Character Summit Coming To Grace
WINONA LAKE – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Crossroads League will team up Monday, September 15th at Grace College for a Champions of Character Summit.
Student-athletes from all 10 Crossroads League institutions will take part in unity building, a panel time of sharing, character education and learn about the development of sportsmanship in competition. Our student-athletes will also take part in the promotion and training in the NAIA’s Live 5 core initiatives.
The Champions of Character Summit sessions will be led by Kristin Gillette (NAIA Director of Champions of Character), J.D. Collins (Crossroads League Commissioner), Dr. Bill Katip (Grace College President), Chad Briscoe (Grace College Athletic Director) and Jim Swanson (Grace College Vice President of Student & Academic Services).
The event begins at 9 a.m. with an introduction from Dr. Katip and a speaking session by Gillette. Student panel discussions begin at 10 a.m. with Swanson and Briscoe speaking before lunch at noon. Collins will speak after lunch, followed by group photos to conclude the event.
