The Whitko volleyball team showed plenty of comeback spirit Thursday night.

The host Wildcats rallied from a 2-1 deficit to outlast Manchester for a 3-2 Three Rivers Conference win.

Whitko posted the 25-10, 17-25, 18-25, 25-13, 15-9 victory in the lengthy league tussle.

Delaney Ray powered down 13 kills to lead the winners.

Senior Elaine Warner had a fine all-around effort with 40 assists to go with four aces and three blocks.

Maddie Gawthrop had three blocks and Kaitlyn Reed had 38 digs and three blocks.

The Whitko varsity improves its overall mark to 5-7 and is 2-0 in TRC play.

The Whitko junior varsity team topped Manchester 25-18, 17-25, 15-7 to improve to 4-1 on the season.

In other sports action, the Whitko junior varsity football team mashed Manchester 44-0. The 8th grade volleyball team defeated Lakeland Christian Academy 25-18, 18-25, 15-8. LCA topped Whitko 25-16, 17-25, 15-11 in the 7th grade match.
