YMCA Hosts Dedication Through Community Prayer Walk
The new Parkview Warsaw YMCA will be dedicated and established through prayer on Oct. 4, 2014 to the Lord Jesus Christ and the advancement of His Kingdom.
This prayer walk will start at 9 a.m. and the whole community is invited. The event will be led by several area pastors spaced out on the Y’s future walking trail. They will each focus on a subject pertaining to the Y and a different Bible verse as they lead participants in prayer. Participants will then be asked to pray to themselves as they move to the next station on the walking trail. Teens, fellowship, impact, bridging gaps in diversity, family and community are some of the subjects the Y hopes to seek God’s guidance for.
The overall theme of the event comes from Proverbs 16:3 “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.” Please come and help the YMCA start off its new future with the Lord establishing its plans. The new Y is at 1305 Mariners Drive. Drive to the end of Mariners Drive, through the gate and around the new facility on the driveway to the parking lot at the front of the building. If you have any questions about the Prayer Walk, please contact Summer Zimmer 574-269-9622.
The Y is the leading nonprofit committed to strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. All the efforts and offerings of the Kosciusko Community YMCA are guided by the core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Every day, the Y works side-by-side with our neighbors to make sure everyone regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. In the first half of 2014, the Kosciusko Community YMCA provided $62,016 in financial assistance to make sure that happens.
