Marjorie J. Baumgartner
Marjorie J. Baumgartner, 88, of Syracuse, Ind., passed away at 5 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 15, 2014, at Lakeland Rehab and Healthcare in Milford, Ind.
She was born on March 28, 1926 in Auburn, Ind., to Harry J. and Leona (Webster) Miller. She graduated in 1944 from Auburn High School and lived most of her life in the Syracuse area except for about 15 years in Oregan.
She was formerly a waitress for several area restaurants, worked at Sharp Hardware in Milford and was a licensed beautician in Syracuse for 5 years. She formerly attended the United Methodist Church in Milford.
She is survived by a daughter: Judy (Dennis) Sharp, Milford; two sons: Jack Baumgartner and Michael Baumgartner, both of Syracuse; granddaughter: Margie Parker-Slusser;
two great-grandchildren: Cassidy Parker and Kai Slusser; and a brother: Paul Miller, Inverness, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother: Richard Miller.
There will be no public visitation. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 28, during the regular church service at the United Methodist Church, Catherine and West streets, Milford, with Pastor Rob Nelson of the church officiating. Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, is in charge of arrangements.
