Youth Learn Their First Basketball Skills at the Y
WARSAW – Registration is going on now for Pee-Wee Basketball at the Kosciusko Community YMCA. Pee-Wee Basketball is for children 3 years old to those in the first grade and is a great opportunity for kids to start learning the basic skills of basketball — from the organization who created it. Participation, fitness, skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship and having fun will be emphasized over winning.
There will be two divisions in the Pee-Wee basketball league, one division for children ages three to four, and the other for children age five through first grade. There will be a 30 minute practice followed by a 30 minute game on Saturdays for both divisions. Each division will play with age appropriate equipment.
Games will be played on Saturdays from Oct. 18 to Nov. 22. Registration will continue through Oct. 7 with a late fee after Sept. 30. Register online at www.kcymca.org or at either of our branches. Contact Steven Kuhn at (574) 269-9622 with any questions.
