Ronnie Hurd, 64, of rural Mentone, Ind., passed away at 11 a.m., Monday, Sept. 15, 2014, at his residence.

He was born on Dec. 5, 1949, in Prestonburg, Ky., to Bennie and Dora (Anderson) Hurd. He attended Mentone High School and graduated from Rochester High School. He served his country in the Army during Vietnam.

Ronnie retired from Zimmer Orthopedics working as a machinist. He was a member of the Warsaw American Legion as well as the Syracuse VFW. He loved riding Harleys and hanging out with his buddies.

He is survived by a sister: Lynda Blanzy, Las Vegas, Nev.; several cousins; and many nieces and nephew.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother: Devon Hurd.
