High Visibility Enforcement Zone In Elkhart County

The Elkhart County Traffic Safety Partnership will be conducting a High Visibility Enforcement Zone between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. Saturday, Sept 27, on the east side of Elkhart.
The area has been known to have an increase in impaired driving crashes and arrests.
The goal is to bring awareness to the continued issue of impaired driving by high visible activity as well as detecting impaired drivers. Extra patrols will follow the enforcement zone, increasing the number of officers out to be able to better detect those operating their vehicles while impaired.
Those found to be impaired will be incarcerated. Impaired driving is 100 percent preventable and we hope everyone makes the right choice and uses a designated driver.
