Hoosiers Encouraged To Register Using Voter App
Indiana Secretary of State Connie Lawson announced a new mobile voter registration app in conjunction with National Voter Registration Day. The app allows Hoosiers to register to vote, along with many other services, via their smart phone.
“The IndianaVoters App is the next phase of this office embracing technology to improve customer service and citizen engagement,” said Lawson. “I encourage all Hoosiers to take advantage of this new app and check their registration today.”
The new app allows Hoosiers to register to vote or confirm their voter registration, look up their polling place, get driving directions to their polling location, find out who’s on their ballot, track their absentee ballot application or provisional ballot information and contact local election officials. It is a full service application designed to make voting easy for Hoosiers by making election information accessible from anywhere.
Apple users can access the application via iTunes from a mobile device or tablet by searching “Indiana voters.” Android users can access the application via their mobile app store by searching “Indiana Voters.”
“Indiana now offers several convenient ways for Hoosiers to get registered or confirm information. If you cannot download the Indiana Voters app, our customer-friendly IndianaVoters.com is available on any desktop.” said Lawson. “Once Hoosiers get registered, I hope they will learn more about our vote in honor of a vet program so they can cast their ballot in honor of a military member who has affected their life.”
