Milford Public Library happenings include:
The Monsters are coming!
The Monsters are coming to the library! Oct. 31 is our Light’s Out at the Library Program. This years theme is “Reading is Monsterous Fun.” Get in your costume, come to the library, and see some of our favorite monster stories come to life.
Our monsters are silly monsters, not scary. “Where the Wild Things Are,” by Maurice “Sendak and There’s a Nightmare” in my Closet, by Mercer Mayer will leave you laughing, not screaming! “Light’s Out” is fun for all ages and kids in costumes leave the library with a treat. We are seeking donations of regular size candy bars to hand out to the children at the end of the program. If you would like to donate, drop off your donation at the adult circulation desk.
While out Trick-or-Treating, be sure to plan on stopping at the library.

After School is Cool
Can you smell the popcorn popping? Come and join us at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7 for After School is Cool Movie Day with Miss Heather. In this release of a 1959 classic, we find that a beautiful young princess has been placed under a magic spell by an evil witch. Upon falling under an enchanted sleep that only the kiss of a true love can dispel, the movie promises to capture your imagination and your heart.
Bring a friend and get ready to watch a great movie that has attracted audiences for many years!
To Be or Not To Be Gluten Free
Monday, September 22 six people attended the nutrition program presented by Purdue Extension Educator Stephanie Faroh. Everyone at the program learned all about eating gluten free and why someone would need to limit gluten from their diet.
Maria Tienda, Bobi Doll and Sarita Hernandez won gluten free recipe books as door prizes.
Our next nutrition program is scheduled at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 24 and will be “Healthy Holiday Eating.” Mark your calendars now. Registration for that program will be available Monday, Nov. 10.
