Margaret Crouch
Margaret A. Crouch, 70, formerly of Syracuse, died Friday morning, Oct. 3, 2014 at her son, Stephen’s, home, Matthews, N.C.
She was born March 27, 1944, in Huntington, a daughter of James H. and Virginia D. (Binnion) Riordan. Her formative years were spent in the Larwill area. She graduated from Larwill High School and International Business College.
She was employed at Oakwood Inn for 20 years, residing in North Webster and later Syracuse from 1985 until moving to North Carolina in July 2014.
Surviving relatives include two sons, Stephen A. (Stephanie) Crouch of Matthews, N.C. and Fred W. Crouch of Dallas,Texas; three grandchildren, Grace E. Crouch, Samantha N. Crouch and Bennett A. Crouch; two brothers, James Riordan Jr. of Garden Grove, Calif., and Michael Riordan of Fort Wayne; a sister, Virginia Wall of Coppell, Texas; and companion of 25 years, Chris Koher Jr. of Syracuse.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Thomas E. Riordan; and a sister, Susan Riordan.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 207 N. Main St., Columbia City, and 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. prior to the funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church, 315 S. Line St., Columbia City, with visitation one hour prior. The burial will be in the Catholic Cemetery.
Preferred memorials are to American Cancer Society or Parkinson Foundation.
