Grace Tennis Pair Honored

WINONA LAKE – Grace College tennis standouts Daniel Sanchez and Jose Marval were honored as part of the 2014 All-Crossroads League Team.
The duo were recognized as among the top 12 players in the Crossroads League, helping the Lancers to a 7-3 record and 6-2 mark in league play. Grace finished third in the CL standings and advanced to the semifinals of the postseason league tournament.
Sanchez, a senior from Puerto Ordaz, Puerto Rico, played No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles all season. Sanchez posted a 9-1 record in both singles play and 9-1 mark in doubles to lead the Lancers.
Marval is a junior from Caracas, Venezuela. He was Grace’s No. 2 singles player and also joined Sanchez at the top doubles’ slot for much of the season. He finished the fall season with identical 8-3 records in doubles and singles.
