Freedom Is A Universal Language
Dear Editor,
Freedom is a universal language understood by most Americans.
Freedom is why I support Curt Nisly for District 22 State Representative.
Freedom is why I chose to work hard for Nisly over the past year. He told us in January what he believes, and that hasn’t changed despite political pressure to become more moderate. He believes in liberty. He believes that our founders gave us a sacred gift when they wrote the Constitution. I know there are some who choose to call liberty an extremist idea, but they are the minority. Those who have tasted freedom never want shackles. It doesn’t matter what party you belong to, freedom is universal.
I’ve been amazed as I’ve watched Nisly work through the district talking with people. He has a filter which he processes his thoughts and answers through. Free people limit government. He truly believes that the more we are free, the more limited government becomes. I am confident he will take this filter with him to Indianapolis when he is there to represent us.
Why do I support Nisly? Here are a just a few reasons. He stands for life, beginning at conception and ending at natural death. He believes in gun owners’ rights and the Second Amendment. He believes that our local community knows what is best for our children. He is committed to protecting religious freedom.
Wrapping all of those reasons up in a nice bow…he listens. There have been so many times when I’ve talked to Nisly about an issue and he’ll say, “What I hear you say is….” or “explain to me what you mean by….“ That is worth gold to me. So many times we have politicians that look you in the eyes but you can tell they’re not really listening.
They’re trying to formulate a politically correct response. That’s not for me. I want someone who will hear me. There are many who seem to put a lot of stock in a slick tongue.
Give me a man of integrity who will stand up for his values and value the desires of his constituents. It has truly been an honor to volunteer for Nisly. I cast my vote for him last week, and I would ask you to do the same.
Freedom does not come automatically. It comes with our vigilance, hard work and the right representation.
I chose wisely…. I hope we all choose Nisly!
