Symphony of the Lakes Presents Home for the Holidays Pops Concert
The holiday season is rapidly approaching and it’s time to start celebrating. Enjoy your first taste of the holiday season at the Symphony of the Lakes Home for the Holidays Pops Concert at 2 p.m. and 7p.m. Saturday Nov. 22, 2014, at the Warsaw Performing Arts Center.
Home for the Holidays will be a complete holiday event with music and a visit from someone fat and jolly from the North Pole! Joining the Symphony of the Lakes will be the Lakeland Community Choir and the Lakeland Youth Chorale performing classic holiday music. You will experience holiday favorites including “How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” “Sleigh Ride,” “White Christmas,” and so much more.
Adding to the holiday excitement is the fundraising event Pursuit of the Podium benefiting the Symphony of the Lakes education fund. Four community leaders have been chosen to compete against each other for donations in their online donations piggy bank. The community leader with the most money in their donation piggy bank will conduct the Symphony in one number at the Home for the Holidays Pops Concert.
Community leaders competing for your donations include Brad Bishop (Executive Director of OrthoWorx), David Hoffert (Superintendent of Schools for Warsaw Community Schools), Matt Rudkin (WSBT News Anchor), and Mary Kittrell (Executive Director at the Kosciusko County Convention and Visitors Bureau). These generous community leaders need your donations. Visit pursuitofthepodium.com to make your online donation today!
