Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
7:24 a.m. Friday, Nov. 7, SR 13 near E. 600 South, Pierceton. Drivers: Michael D. Shenefield, 59, 9th Street, North Manchester; Sandra S. Weaver, 58, EMS B7 Lane, Leesburg. Shenefield struck the rear of Weaver’s vehicle while attempting to pass it. Damage up to $5,000.
12:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 7, N. 800 West near W. 640 North, Atwood. Driver: Noah W. Hanlon, 17, Beech Road, Osceola. Driver struck deer. Damage up to $10,000.
9:58 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, 500 West near 400 North, Warsaw. Driver: Janet D. Schooley, 47, 550 North, Warsaw. Deer struck the side of Schooley’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
5:43 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, W. 1350 North near N. 1050 West, Nappanee. Driver: Wayne W. Small, 34, Jackson Blvd., Rochester. Small was operating a horse-drawn buggy and attempted to pass another buggy operated by Leon Miller. Small’s buggy struck Miller’s buggy causing damage and detaching the horse. Whereabouts of the horse were unknown when the police report was filed. Damage up to $2,500.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
1:37 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, Detroit Street near Fort Wayne Street, Warsaw. Drivers: James M. Ferrebee, 27, Gem Street, Crystal River, Fla.; Manda K. Danner, 39, 600 East, Pierceton. Ferrebee was hauling a trailer which sideswiped Danner’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
7:33 a.m. Friday, Nov. 7, Baker Street near Ranch Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Diane L. Raber, 64, Baker Street, Warsaw; Andrea D. Heeter, 44, Heather Court, Warsaw. Both drivers pulled to the roadside to allow emergency vehicles to pass. As Raber pulled back onto the roadway, she rear-ended Heeter’s vehicle. Damage up to $1,000.
11:03 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, 200 block of W. Market Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Jimmie Justice; Edwin L. Biesemeyer. Both drivers were backing out of their respective parking spaces at the same time and collided. Damage up to $10,000.
