Lady Warriors Clobber SBCA
SYRACUSE – A 22-0 run in the first quarter just got out of hand as Wawasee smothered the South Bend Career Academy, 74-6, Friday night at the Hardwood Teepee.
Wawasee had 13 players score at least a point, led by Kylee Rostochak’s 12 points and 10 more from Katlyn Kennedy. Hannah Haines, Nicole Streby and Seaquinn Bright all netted six points for the Lady Warriors.
The victory was historically significant as SBCA’s output was the least amount of points Wawasee allowed in a game in its program history, one less than last year’s 69-7 final against the same SBCA team.
Wawasee shut SBCA out in the first and fourth quarters, and only allowed three individual baskets to three different players.
Wawasee moves to 2-2 overall and visits Prairie Heights tonight while South Bend Career Academy falls to 0-3 overall, playing Covenant Christian (DeMotte) tonight.
