Victory Media, the premier media entity for military personnel transitioning into civilian life, has named Grace College to its coveted Military Friendly Schools list for the fifth consecutive year. The 2015 Military Friendly Schools list honors the top 20 percent of colleges, universities, and trade schools in the country that are doing the most to embrace America’s military service members, veterans, and dependents as students and ensure their success on campus.
Grace has made considerable efforts in the past several years to intentionally serve military students.
Grace’s military friendly initiatives have included the formation of a student veteran’s organization, the completion of a student veteran’s resource center and participation in the Yellow Ribbon Program, as well as training in military chaplaincy.
“Being chosen for the Military Friendly Schools list five years in a row is a true privilege,” said Ryan Srogi, veterans’ services manager at Grace. “We wish to honor our service men and women and want veteran and dependent students to have full confidence that Grace will provide them with every benefit they have worked so hard to earn.”
Grace is also on the cutting edge of affordable, flexible educational options, offering new accelerated undergraduate programs, a growing number of online master’s options (including blended degree options that work with the accelerated programs), and a degree completion program that serves those who have interrupted their higher education for work, family, military service, or other commitments and makes completing a bachelor’s degree a reality.
The Military Friendly Schools media and website, found at www.militaryfriendlyschools.com, feature the list, interactive tools and search functionality to help military students find the best school to suit their unique needs and preferences.
There are more than 1,600 colleges, universities and trade schools on this year’s list. These schools exhibit leading practices in the recruitment and retention of students with military experience. These schools have world-class programs and policies designed specifically to help support military students with academic accreditation, flexibility, and other on campus services.
