Warriors Sting Hornets
ANGOLA – Wawasee played stingy defense, holding Angola to just 36 percent shooting in a 52-41 win Saturday night in boys hoops.
The Warriors were tough from the get-go, limiting Angola to just 13 points in the first half after jumping out to a 23-5 lead to open the game.
Wawasee (2-0) had Gage Reinhard lead the club with 18 points while Alex Clark dropped 11 points and four boards on the Hornets. Stori Bright added four points and nine rebounds while Jayce Boatwright chipped in nine points and three boards.
Sam Bradley led Angola (0-1) with 11 points and Robby Honer added 10 points.
Angola will play tonight at Lakewood Park while Wawasee will travel to Manchester Friday evening.
