Third Robbery Suspect Arrested
A third individual involved in the robbery and assault of a victim on Thanksgiving Day has been arrested. The matter took place in Warsaw.
Vanessa Eileen Arnold, 19, 318 W. Spring St,. Etna Green, was booked Tuesday in the Kosciusko County Jail on a charge of robbery with serious bodily injury, a level 2 felony. Her bond has been set at $17,500 surety.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, Arnold contacted the victim requesting he meet her to purchase marijuana. The meeting place was in the parking lot at Walgreens, Warsaw. When the victim arrived he saw her along with Christofer Colt, 22, Warsaw and Ritchie Hernandez Jr., 21, Warsaw,in a vehicle. A fourth individual was also in the vehicle.
Court documents state the victim sat down in the back seat and was forced into the middle by Colt and Hernandez, when he was “jumped” by the two men. Taken was a watch, shoes, wallet and hat. He was “dumped” by the side of the road near Warsaw Community Church.
Arnold admitting to contacting the victim to purchase marijuana. She also stated she observed the assault and saw the wallet laying in the car, removing some of the money and throwing the wallet out of the window.
Hernandez and Colt were both arrested on charges of robbery with serious bodily injury, a level 2 felony. Bonds were set at $300,000 surety for Hernandez and $250,000 for Colt.
Warsaw Police investigated the report.
