Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accident:
5:54 p.m. Monday, Dec. 8, South County Farm Road, south of West CR 550S, Warsaw. Driver: John N. Deaton, 66, South CR 100W, Claypool. Hit deer. Damage up to $10,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
7:15 p.m. Monday, Dec. 8, East Center Street, Warsaw. Driver: Sarah E. Scott, 31, South CR 50E, Wabash. Scott was attempting to execute a left hand turn in a parking lot and did not see a light pole, hitting the pole. Damage up to $2,500.
5:02 p.m. Monday, Dec. 8, Argonne Road and East Winona Avenue, Warsaw. Drivers: Ana G. Melendez-Hernandez, 20, Wooster Road, Winona Lake and Marcia V. Lee, 68, East Fort Wayne Street, Warsaw. Hernandez was southbound and followed a vehicle in front of her turning right on red without checking for traffic. The Hernandez vehicle struck the westbound Lee vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
3:49 p.m. Monday, Dec. 8, Shelden Street and Heron Boulevard, Warsaw. Drivers: James Shaver, 73, North Grove Road, Milford, and Michele R. Sikora, 40, West CR 550N, Warsaw. Shaver failed to stop at the stop sign hitting the Sikora vehicle. Damage up to $25,000.
3:03 p.m. Monday, Dec. 8, East Center Street and South Hickory Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Vincent C. Marino, 19, South Graceland Avenue, Claypool,and Melinda D. Wells, 28, West CR 100N, Warsaw. Marino and a passenger in his vehicle, Tony V. Fountain, 20, East Fort Wayne Street, Warsaw, both complained of pain to the chest and taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital. Wells complained of pain to the knee/lower leg/foot and was evaluated at the scene and released. Marino attempted to cross the intersection through stopped traffic, failing to see the Wells vehicle on Center Street. Damage up to $5,000.
