His concerts are legendary with their rock heavy, high energy full band sets. With 25 million records sold, 17 Top 40 hits, including “Don’t Talk to Strangers”, “An Affair of the Heart”, “I’ve Done Everything for You”, “Love Somebody” and “Human Touch,” as well as a 1981 Grammy for Best Male Rock Vocal for his #1 hit single “Jessie’s Girl”, Springfield shows no signs of slowing down. “I put everything I’ve got into making records,” he says. “Sometimes people may think they have you pegged but I trust the music to speak for itself.”
In early 2013, Springfield collaborated with The Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl on the song, “The Man That Never Was,” for the Sound City soundtrack, Sound City: Real to Reel. At the 2014 Grammy Awards the album won for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media. In May 2014 Springfield’s first novel, Magnificent Vibration, was released marking his second publication on the New York Times Bestsellers List and he was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Currently, he is finishing production on the Tristar film Ricki And The Flash to be released in Summer 2015 and co-starring with Meryl Streep and Kevin Klein.
