Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
1:26 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 14, West Wallace Road, south of West CR 400N, Warsaw. Driver: Andre N. Byler, 25, North CR 400W, Warsaw. Byler said he was being chased by an unknown individual over an issue with a female when he lost control of his vehicle and hit a post. Damage: up to $5,000.
7:50 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, North SR 15, north of West CR 900N, Milford. Police found a vehicle registered to Jeremy A. Green, Pleasant Acres Drive, Nappanee, off the side of the road. Police believe the unknown driver lost control of the vehicle, slid off the road hit a small ditch and rolled over. No one was around the vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
11:49 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, West CR 200S, west of South Ferguson Road, Warsaw. Driver: Cathrine M. Jarvis, 45, West CR 200S, Warsaw. Jarvis lost control of her vehicle, causing it to go off the road and roll over. She had to be freed from her seatbelt but refused medical treatment. Damage up to $25,000.
9:37 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, West US 30, east of North CR 700W, Atwood. Driver: Cyrus E. Arrowood, 27 West CR 250S, Warsaw. Arrowood lost control of his vehicle, slid sideways until the right rear tire broke loose from the vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
7:38 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12 North SR 15, south of West CR 600N, Warsaw. Driver: Brenda A. Weaver, 57, South CR 325E, Warsaw. She swerved to miss a vehicle whose driver lost control, causing her to loose control and go into a ditch. Damage up to $2,500.
6:54 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, South SR 15 north of West CR 550S, Warsaw. Driver: Kirby J. Lemond, 59, West CR 600S, Claypool. Lost control of his vehicle, went off the road and hit a pole. Lemond refused medical treatment. Damage up to $25,000.
6:49 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, East CR 60S, east of South County Farm Road, Warsaw. Driver: Amanda N. Guy 35, South CR 100E, Claypool. Guy applied her vehicle’s brakes to avoid hitting several deer, but was unable to slow down and maintain control, going off the road and hitting an REMC pole. Damage up to $10,000.
3:34 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, 3:34 p.m. South SR 15 at CR 950S, Silver Lake. Driver: Drew J. Dobbins, 21, West CR 950S, Silver Lake. Dobbins was stopped waiting for traffic to make a turn when his vehicle was passed by a mini van in a now passing zone. The driver of the mini van then cut in front of him due to an oncoming vehicle, hitting the front of Dobbins’ vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
6:14 a.m. Friday, Dec. 12, Kinsey Road, north of CR 550S, Claypool. Driver: Tina M. Hartin, 46, North CR 400W, Silver Lake. Hit deer. Damage up to $2,500.
5:02 a.m. Friday, Dec. 12, East CR 800S, east of South Packerton Road, Claypool. Driver: Deborah J. Aver, 43, West CR 250S, Warsaw. Hit deer. Damage up to $2,500.
1:02 a.m. Friday, Dec. 12, East CR 300N, east of North CR 100E, Warsaw. Driver: Clay A. Riley, 17, South West Point Drive, Warsaw. Hit deer. Damage up to $1,000.
North Webster
Officers with the North Webster Police Department investigated the following accident:
11:36 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, North Main Street, North Webster. The unidentified owner of a 1994 Plymouth said he parked on the west side of Circle K and thought the vehicle was in park. The vehicle rolled backwards into a 1999 Dodge parked at the gas pumps. The owner of that vehicle was also unidentified. Damage up to $2,500.
Silver Lake
Officers with the Silver Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:
10:40 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, West SR 14 west of South Neer Drive, Silver Lake. Driver: Paul A. Parker, 46, East Rochester Street, Akron. Parker lost control of his vehicle on the icy road. The vehicle slid off the road and rolled over. Damage up to $10,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
3:08 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 14. Glee Miner Drive, south of Country Club Road, Warsaw. Driver: Marie G. Brito-Gonzalez, 27, South County Farm Road, Claypool. Driver attempted to avoid three deer on the road, went off the road into an embankment sideswiping a utility pole. Damage up to $10,000.
9:36 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, East Center Street, south of South Colfax Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Jacob W. Ponko, 34, East Clark Street, Warsaw, and Joan E Majewski, 70, Lakewood Hills Drive, Warsaw. Ponko drove out into the path of the Majewski vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
11:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, East Center Street, Warsaw. Driver: David A. Taylor, 37, East CR 450S, Warsaw. Taylor was driving into the parking lot at Wyndham when his vehicle slid on ice causing his vehicle to hit a parked vehicle registered to Eric Stack, North Eighth Street, Goshen. Damage up to $5,000.
11:14 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, Lake City Highway east of North CR 250E. Drivers: Chattomon Bryant, 80, Reed Street, Fort Wayne, and Dustin E. Marshall 37, South Ironwood Drive, Mishawaka. Bryant could not remember being involved in an accident. Marshall told police Bryant’s vehicle entered the intersection after Marshall’s vehicle was going through the intersection, hitting the drive axle. Bryant was cited for not having a valid driver’s license. Damage up to $2,500.
10:20 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, North Detroit Street, south of Gilliam Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Peggy L. Wihebrink, 65, EMS C28C Lane, Warsaw. Wihebrink’s vehicle spun around and hit a curb. Damage up to $2,500.
10:05 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, North Detroit Street and Anchorage Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Taylor R. Churchill, 25, Clinic Court, Warsaw and Brian E. Maslowski, 34, Chester Drive, Carmel. Churchill’s vehicle slid into the back of the Maslowski’s vehicle. Damage up to $1,000.
9:09 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, North Detroit Street, north of Poor Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Andrew L. Connolly, 52, Kingsley Drive, Goshen. Connolly’s vehicle began fish tailing causing it to slide to the left in the wrong direction and hitting a curb. Damage up to $2,500.
9:05 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, Lake City Highway, west of Warbler Lane, Warsaw. Driver: Javier E. Bayouth, 44, Beaver Avenue, Fort Wayne. Lost control of his vehicle on the icy road, slid off the road. Damage up to $2,500.
