Pierceton Elementary Fourth Graders Give Back

Fourth graders at Pierceton Elementary School are giving up a school gift exchange this year to help others in need.
The fourth graders have donated shoe boxes and small items to go in them. Students are packing the shoe boxes to be sent to children of disaster relief and in third world countries. This is a part of Operation Christmas Child, an international organization founded by Franklin Graham.
Operation Christmas Child has delivered millions of shoe box gifts to children all across the globe to serve as encouragement and to provide for toys and items that the children wouldn’t otherwise have.
PES fourth graders are especially excited because we are able to track our shoe boxes and see what countries they end up in. The teachers are happy that the students are learning about the true meaning of Christmas – which is giving!
