Free Organ Concert For Lunchtime Live At The Lerner
Celebrating with the sounds of the holidays, the Lerner Theatre welcomes Celia Weiss back to the stage Tuesday, Dec. 23 for a special edition of the free Lunchtime Live! series.
Weiss will play both the piano and classic 1924 Kimball organ from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Lunchtime Live! gives residents and business people a chance to take a break from their day and enjoy talented performers at no charge. The performances usually occur on the final Wednesday of each month, but December’s event has been moved up on the calendar due to the holidays.
Weiss shares her talents as organist, pianist and accompanist by both performing and teaching. She has been the organist for First Presbyterian Church in Elkhart since 1975, and is an adjunct assistant professor with the Raclin School of Arts at IU South Bend. She also is a performer and board member for the Elkhart County Symphony Orchestra.
At this time, food is not allowed into the theater, but patrons are encouraged to visit nearby Gateway Mile restaurants before or after their stop at the Lerner.
