Kosciusko

Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:

9 a.m. Friday, Dec. 26, SR 19 north of SR 10, Etna Green. Driver: Alissa D. Dolbee, 38, North CR 700W, Warsaw. Dolbee and a passenger, Alayna Cooper, 14, North CR 700W, Warsaw, both complained of pain to the neck and were transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital. Dolbee lost control of her vehicle on the ice covered roadway going into a ditch and down an embankment causing the vehicle to roll over, landing on its wheels. Damage up to $10,000.

8:39 a.m. Friday, Dec. 26, South SR 25 east of West Shilling Road, Warsaw. Driver: Sheldon L. Cooper, 36, South Maple Run, Warsaw. Cooper lost control of his vehicle in a curve on the icy roadway, going off the road into a field. Damage up to $1,000.

7:36 a.m. Friday, Dec. 26, West SR 25, east of South CR 800W, Mentone. Driver: Cory M. Meadows, 27, Franklin Street, Rochester. Meadows lost control of his vehicle on the icy roadway, going off the roadway and rolling over. Damage: up to $10,000.

6:52 a.m. Friday, Dec. 26, South SR 25 at South Ferguson Road, Warsaw. Driver: Daniel R. Gordon, 37, South SR 25, Warsaw. Gordon stated another vehicle pulled out in front of him and when he applied his brakes, his vehicle slide sideways on the icy road. The vehicle went off the roadway down an embankment and rolled onto its top. He was checked by paramedics at the scene but did not require further medical treatment. Damage up to: $5,000.

6:36 a.m. Friday, Dec. 26, South SR 15, north of West CR 800S, Claypool. Driver: Nicholas W. McMillan, 22, South Main Street, Claypool. McMillan drove over a patch of icy road causing the vehicle to leave the road and go into the ditch. Damage up to $2,500.

6:24 a.m. Friday, Dec. 26, South SR 15 south of CR 700S, Claypool. Driver: Ashleigh M. Koslow, 18, South Edgewater Drive, Silver Lake. Koslow complained of pain to the neck. She was transported to a hospital. Koslow’s vehicle slid off the roadway hitting an embankment, large log and trees. Damage up to $5,000.

5:21 a.m. Friday, Dec. 26, South SR 15 and South Southwood Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Amber M. Engle, 28, East Harrison Street, Claypool. Engle lost control of her vehicle on a patch of ice, went off the road colliding with a telephone pole and a few small trees. Damage up to $2,500.

Syracuse

Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accident:

7:50 a.m. Friday, Dec. 26, North SR 13 and North Lake View Trace, Syracuse. Driver: Bobi K. Sopher, 38, North R 13, Syracuse. Sopher complained of pain to the head. Sopher lost control of her vehicle on the icy roadway. The vehicle went off the road, hit a stop sign, street sign and posts, and struck a culvert causing the vehicle to roll over, landing on its wheels. Damage was estimated up to $25,000.

Warsaw

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:

3:09 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, Invernesss Point  east of Oakbrook Place, Warsaw. Driver Jessica r. Baughman, 24, Inverness Point, Warsaw. Baughman was backing from her driveway and struck a parked vehicle, registered to Kenton L. Blacksten Brubaker Street, Warsaw, on the opposite side of the street. Damage up to $1,000.

8:05 p.m. Friday, Dec. 26, North Detroit Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Kyal A. Derry, 22, North CR 175E, Warsaw, and Jennifer K. Hanish, 43, East Rochester Street, Akron. Derry was backing slowly from a parking spot as there was a large minivan in the parking spot adjacent and he could not see. Derry’s vehicle struck the driver’s door of Hanish’s vehicle as she was driving past. Damage up to $2,500.
