Broadway In Indianapolis, Sun King Team Up On ‘Alakazam’
Broadway in Indianapolis and Sun King Brewery announce the creation of “Alakazam,” a Sun King seasonal beer, in conjunction with the arrival of The Illusionist in Indianapolis. The kegs will be tapped on Jan. 7 at Theatre on the Square, 627 Massachusetts Avenue, starting at 6 p.m. and will include some magic demonstrations. Tickets are $5 and available at tots.org. Tickets include complimentary beverage and benefit Theatre on the Square. All guests must be 21 and present their ID at the event.
“Alakazam” (ABV: 6.2 percent IBU: 24) is a Stout with dark beer roots magically transformed into a blonde colored ale. Marvel at its light golden color. Behold its rich malt character. Be amazed by its taste-tasticness! Alakazam!
“Alakazam” is the fourth brew created for a touring Broadway in Indianapolis production. The partnership’s inaugural “Million Dollar Brewski” was created in 2011 for the engagement of Million Dollar Quartet. In 2013, “American Idiot IPA” was labeled to celebrate the raucous, in-your-face production of American Idiot. And last year’s “Cara Mia” was the dark and sexy brew crafted exclusively for The Addams Family.
