Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
12:59 a.m. Friday, Jan. 9, North SR 19, north of West Hepton Road, Etna Green. Driver: Thomas M. Daniels, 22, South Paxton Drive, Warsaw. Daniels drove through a high drift of snow, lost control causing his vehicle to spin off the road and collide with a utility pole. Damage up to $5,000.
4:59 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, East CR 1200S east of South County Farm Road, Silver Lake. Driver: Michael D. Reed, 49, West Canal Street, Wabash. Hit deer. Damage up to $2,500.
4:41 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, South SR 15, south of West CR 350S, Warsaw. Driver: Brandy D. Littlejohn, 25, East R 250S, Pierceton. Littlejohn lost control of her vehicle causing it to go off the road, coming to rest in trees. She complained of pain to the knee/lower leg/foot but refused EMS. Damage up to $10,000.
313 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, South SR 15 at East CR 200E, Warsaw. Drivers: Zackery Hernandez, 25, East Harrison Street, Claypool; Scott A. Ganshorn, 36, Mary Mac Drive, Warsaw; Stephanie L. Walker, 38, South Clay Street, Claypool; and Jenny L. Emmons, 52, South Sycamore Street Silver Lake. Passengers in Ganshorn’s vehicle: Kimberly L. Music, 24, North Buffalo Street, Burket, complained of pain to the neck, and Jennifer R. Ganshorn, 20, Mary Mac Drive, Warsaw, complained of pain to the abdomen/pelvis. Both were taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital. The Hernandez vehicle slid on ice when he went to stop, hitting the back of the Ganshorn vehicle, which was pushed into the Walker vehicle. The Walker vehicle was then pushed into the Emmons vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
5:50 am. Thursday, Jan. 8, West CR 1350N and North CR 700W, Nappanee. Drivers: David R. Hochstetler, 22, Sixth Road, Bourbon, and Edward E. Golliher, 64, North CR 25W, Macy. Hochstetler’s vehicle struck the back of the Golliher vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
7:02 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, North Detroit Street and East Main Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Jennifer A. Esser 38, Tall Oaks Road, Waunakee, Wisc., and Rebecca L. Kindig, 32, West Old Road 30, Warsaw. Esser’s vehicle slid through the intersection hitting the Kindig vehicle which was going through the intersection. Damage up to $1,000.
5:25 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, East Sheridan Street and North Cook Street, Warsaw. Arthur E. Clark, North Scott Street, Warsaw, had stopped his vehicle on Sheridan Street and exited the vehicle to clear snow from the windshield when the vehicle began rolling backward. The vehicle rolled across Cook Street, went off the roadway hitting a tree and stopping in a low wooded area. Clark stated when he caught up to the vehicle he discovered he did not have the vehicle in park as he thought he did, but had left the vehicle in reverse. Damage up to $5,000.
4:46 p.m. Thursday, Jan 8, North Lake Street and West Porter Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Justin A. Elliott, 36, North Dovewood Trail, Warsaw, and Mfon E. Esah, 63, North Lake Street, Warsaw. Elliott attempted to avoid colliding with the Esah vehicle, which had just pulled onto Lake Street, but could not. Damage up to $1,000.
4:08 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, Springhill Road and Lake City Highway, Warsaw. Drivers: Robert R. Cromwell, 63, Extom Dr., Austin, Texas, and Scott T. Sigerfoos, 31, East Maple Grove, Syracuse. Cromwell’s vehicle struck the back of the Sigerfoos vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
2:34 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, East Prairie Street, east of South Buffalo Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Stephanie A. Tillman, 27, South Columbia Street, Warsaw, and Michelle M. Krick, 31, Chapman Lake Drive, Warsaw. Tillman was pulling out into traffic from an access road onto Prairie Street and failed to see the Krick vehicle until the collision. Damage up to $1,000.
