Joint Efforts Nab Silver Lake Man On Meth Charges
A joint effort between Warsaw and Kosciusko County drug units resulted in the arrest of Brian Lee Slone, 37, Silver Lake, on meth related charges Thursday in Pierceton.
The Kosciusko County Drug Task Force and Warsaw Police Narcotics Unit, acting on an investigative drug tip, responded yesterday to the Pierceton area, Officers enlisted the assistance of Pierceton Police and initiated a traffic stop as Slone left his place of employment around 3 p.m.
A Warsaw Police Department K-9 unit was called to the scene, at which point approximately two grams of finished methamphetamine was located on Slone. Also discovered during the traffic stop was a juvenile child.
Officers contacted the Department of Child Services and the mother was given possession of the child.
Slone has been preliminarily charged with felony possession of methamphetamine along with neglect of a dependent. His is bond was set at $2,000 surety.
The arrest was the result of a joint-investigation between Warsaw Police Narcotics Unit, Kosciusko County Drug Task Force, Warsaw Police Department, the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department and Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office.
