The winter weather continues to cause postponements and delays on the area high school athletic front.

The Northridge at Warsaw boys basketball game tonight is postponed. The Northern Lakes Conference contest is rescheduled for Feb. 17 at WCHS starting with the JV game at 6:15 p.m.

The Warsaw freshman boys basketball game tonight is also postponed. No make-up date is set for that contest yet.

The Glenn at Triton girls basketball game tonight has been postponed. Triton will host Glenn tomorrow (Jan. 10) for a full day of hoops play. The junior varsity girls basketball game will begin at 3 p.m., followed by the boys JV game at around 4:30. The girls varsity contest is set for 6 p.m. with the boys varsity game after it at approximately 7:45. Admission will be $5 and will be good to all four games.

The Triton boys basketball teams in grades 5-9 will be recognized on Saturday at halftime of the boys varsity game versus Glenn. Those players will be admitted to the game free of charge.

Triton also announced late today that its boys basketball game versus Elkhart Christian has been rescheduled. The game, which was postponed on Jan. 8, will now be played at Triton on Monday, Jan. 12. It will begin with the JV game at 6 p.m.

The Knox Super Dual wrestling meet that Triton was scheduled to participate in on Saturday has been cancelled.

The Northfield at Tippecanoe Valley boys basketball game tonight has been postponed. A make-up date for that contest is still to be determined.  The Valley boys team is scheduled to play at Plymouth tomorrow night.

The Concord at Warsaw swim meet on Saturday (Jan. 10) will start later. Diving will begin at 11 a.m. with swimming starting at 11:30 a.m. at WCHS.

The Wawasee at Goshen swim meet on Saturday (Jan. 10) has been moved to a noon starting time. Diving starts at noon with swim events to follow. The meet is the final one scheduled for the current pool at Goshen High School.  The freshman boys basketball tournament at Goshen on Saturday will now also begin at noon.

The Whitko boys basketball home game tonight with Rochester is postponed. The Wildcats will now host the Zebras Saturday (Jan. 10) with the C-team and JV games at noon to begin play. The Whitko at Rochester girls basketball game set for Saturday night (JV at 6:15 p.m.) is still on.

The Wawasee Athletic Department has announced that its conference boys basketball game tonight at NorthWood is still a go. The JV game will begin at 6:15 p.m. in Nappanee. Also, the boys freshman basketball tournament that Wawasee was scheduled to play in on Saturday (Jan. 10) has been cancelled. The NorthWood at Wawasee girls basketball game Saturday night is still on. It will be Team Autograph Night and middle school girls basketball players will be recognized in Syracuse.

Lakeland Christian Academy is still set for home basketball games on Saturday. The boys team will host Portage Christian with the JV game first at 2:30 p.m. The girls will host Argos with the JV game first at 6 p.m.
