NWS Issues Hazardous Weather Outlook, Special Weather Statement
The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook and special weather statement for portions of northern Indiana and southwest Michigan.
Snow coming up from the south is expected to overspread the area. Two to four inches of snow, possibly mixed with sleet and freezing rain, is expected to come down over the region through the afternoon and evening and could last well into Monday.
As a result, roads are likely to be slick on Sunday night and for the Monday morning commute. Kosciusko, Marshall, Whitley, Wabash, Elkhart, Noble, Allen and St. Joseph Counties are included in these advisories.
Snowfall is expected to stop around midday on Monday. The forecast for the Warsaw area is projecting high temperatures in the high 20s through Monday afternoon. Low temperatures will be around zero with highs in the low teens by midweek. Highs are expected to reach the 30s by the weekend.
Prepare for especially chilly temperatures and potentially hazardous driving conditions to start the week.
