Rosanna Forney, 88, of Rochester, passed away at 6:26 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 10, at Woodlawn Hospital.

On Aug. 15, 1926, Rosanna was born in Frankfort to Milton and Goldie Duddleston Weaver. Proudly she graduated from Frankfort High School in 1944. Rosanna and the love of her life, Robert Lee Forney, were married on July 30, 1945, in the Shenandoah Baptist Church of Columbia, S.C.

She and her husband shared 65 years of life’s adventures. Their union produced four daughters and one son. Two more generations have been added to the family tree. Rosanna cherished the time she spent with her family and grandkids. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rochester.

She is survived by her husband; five children: Kathy (Maurice) Siders, Rochester; William Scott (Judith) Forney, Denton, Texas; Suzanne (Denny) Halsey, Angola; Rebecca (Butch) Morris, Denver; Kristie (Chad) Brooks, Rochester; six grandsons: Marvin Siders, Andrew Halsey, Jason Morris, William Forney, Tyler Brooks, Aaron Brooks; one great-granddaughter; and four great-grandsons.

Preceding Rosanna in death are her parents; and seven siblings: Cyril, Thomas, Gladdy, Margaret, Betty, and two in infancy.

Reverend Andrew Halsey will officiate services. Interment will be in the Rochester IOOF Cemetery.
