Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department responded to the following accidents:
7:10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14, West Winona Avenue, west of South Hand Avenue, Warsaw. Drivers: Lauren O. Byers, 23, South Morton Street, Warsaw, and Melody J. Downs, West Union Street, Claypool. Byers slid on ice while rounding a curve, causing a collision with Downs. Damage up to $10,000.
7 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14, South Country Club Road and East CR 600S, Claypool. Driver: Alicia M. Elder, 25, 303 East Keith Street, Pierceton. Elder’s vehicle slid on the ice causing a collision with an embankment. Damage up to $5,000.
7:15 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13, South CR 450W, north of West CR 600S, Warsaw. Drivers: Douglas C. Spangle, 22, West CR 1300N, North Manchester, and Robert D. Morehouse, 17, North Franklin Street, Mentone. Spangle and Morehouse were headed in opposite directions when Spangle crossed the center line of the road, causing a collision. Damage up to $10,000.
3:24 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13, North Syracuse Road, north of East CR 1000N, North Webster. Driver: Owen M. Donahoe, 16, North Camelot Trail, Milford. Donahoe lost control and ran into a fence. Damage up to $10,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department responded to the following accidents:
11:52 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14, 502 N. Detroit St., Warsaw. Drivers: Mary F. Noble, 86, Country Club Road, Warsaw, and Denise D. Sheetz, 59, East CR 450N, Warsaw. Noble struck Sheetz’s vehicle while attempting to park at Pizza Hut. Damage up to $5,000.
9:02 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14, 423 Kincaide St., Warsaw. Drivers: Tiffany C. Hertel, 18, Fisher Avenue, Warsaw, and Brittany L. Hastings, 30, EMS C24F Lane, Warsaw. Hertel backed into Hastings while attempting to park at Washington Elementary School. Damage up to $5,000.
