South Bend Symphony’s Masterworks Series At The Morris
The South Bend Symphony Orchestra announces the second performance of its 2014-2015 Masterworks Series on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015 at 8 p.m. at the Morris Performing Arts Center.
Maestro Tsung Yeh conducts one of the most beloved, romantic piano concertos in the repertoire, the concerto in A minor by Edvard Grieg, with Russian-born virtuoso Daria Rabotkina as soloist. The program also features the bracing and beautiful Fifth Symphony by Finnish composer Jean Sibelius. Additionally, audience members will be treated to a delightful taste of summer with Hugo Alfvén’s Swedish Rhapsody No. 1, a colorful celebration of Midsummer’s Eve.
