Donna Belle Werstler
Donna Belle Werstler, 84, of Grace Village Retirement Community, Winona Lake, and formerly of Pierceton, passed away at 5:20 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 18, 2015, at Grace Village Health Care.
She was born on July 15, 1930, in Michigan City, to Karl Brinckman and Lena Mae (Wurm) Brinckman. On March 6, 1949, she was married to Clarence Ray Werstler, who passed away in 2005.
She was a resident of Kosciusko County since 1946 where she was a member of Pierceton Presbyterian Church, Pierceton. Donna served her church over the years in many capacities as a church deacon, elder and Sunday school teacher. She was an avid gardener, enjoyed plants, playing cards and was past president of the Pierceton Senior Citizens Center.
She had worked for many years as the office manager of Pletcher’s Grocery Store in Pierceton, and in later years she worked at Quality Farm & Fleet in Warsaw.
She will be lovingly remembered by her two sons: Rex (Carol) Werstler, Leesburg; Tim (Sue) Werstler, Pierceton; daughter: Vicki (John) Camden, Pierceton; daughter-in-law: Donna Werstler, Larwill; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three sisters: Norma Faulstich, LaPorte; Wanda Black, Florida; and Carol Allen, LaPorte.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and son: Michael Ray Werstler, who died April 16, 2014; and two grandchildren.
There will be visitation from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw. Funeral services will be conducted at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home and will be officiated by Pastor Bob Conelley. Burial will take place at a later date at Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.
