Junior S. Jackson
Junior S. Jackson, 90, Silver Lake, died at 3 p.m. Monday, Jan. 19, 2015, in his residence.
He was born October 29, 1924 in Magoffin County, Ky., to Smith & Goldie (Ramey) Jackson. He married Thelma Shepherd on July 8, 1950.
He retired after 38 years of service from Erie-Lackawana, Penn Central & Conrail Railroad Companies. Junior enjoyed going to auctions, flea markets, garage sales and being with people.
He is survived by his wife: Thelma Jackson; one son: Henry “Hank” (Marcia) Jackson, North Manchester; four daughters: Sharlene (Bob) Lewis, North Webster, Nadene (George) Hunnicutt, Winchester, Ky., Julene (Craig) Latham, North Manchester, and Luella (Alan) Earl, Argos; one brother: Kelly (Lillie) Jackson, Wabash, Ind.; 16 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter: Christine; one grandchild; nine brothers and five sisters.
Family and friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23, at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, at McKee Mortuary. Pastor Dave Cox will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Silver Lake.
