Nappanee Public Library news and events this week:
Farming Exhibit Opens At Nappanee Center
Did you know that, at one point, Nappanee produced 96 percent of the nation’s hemp? Although it’s no surprise that our community has a rich agricultural history, you may be shocked to find out which crops were tops in the past. Get more fun facts like this and see fascinating historical photos and farming artifacts at the Nappanee Center’s next temporary exhibit.
The Evelyn Lehman Culp Heritage Collection will present Farming in Nappanee Sunday, Feb. 1 through Thursday, April 30 at the Center.
The Heritage Collection is maintained by the Nappanee Public Library and housed within the Nappanee Center at 302 W. Market Street. Hours are 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday.
