Tippecanoe Valley To Host Youth Suicide Prevention Speaker
The Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation will host youth suicide prevention speaker, Jeff Yalden, on Monday and Tuesday, February 16 and 17. Jeff Yalden is a high energy, “tell it like it is” youth motivational speaker and parent communicator.
He will provide dynamic and entertaining assemblies for students at Tippecanoe Valley High School and Tippecanoe Valley Middle School with a message about teen depression and suicide that students, staff, parents, and the community need to hear. He will also conduct “QPR for Suicide Prevention” training for students and staff.
A special presentation for parents and the community will be held the evening of Monday, Feb. 16, at Tippecanoe Valley High School. Grant funding has been obtained to cover a portion of the costs associated with bringing Jeff Yalden to Tippecanoe Valley. Additional funding is needed.
