Darrell Wayne Hatcher
Darrell Wayne Hatcher of Leesburg passed away at 11:50 p.m. on
Sunday, Feb. 1, 2015, in Elkhart, at the age of 66.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1966 until his honorable discharge in 1970.
He attended Living Hope Ministries in Warsaw, Indiana. He enjoyed family
gatherings, the outdoors and especially camping and fishing. He loved being
with family and children.
Darrell worked in construction, was a purchasing agent for a van conversion
company and for a manufactured home company. He was also a realtor..a jack
of all trades.
He was born on Aug. 10, 1948 in Hazard, Ky. to Clarence Hatcher and
Sinia Faye (Adams) Hatcher.
He will be lovingly remembered by his son: Darrell Wayne Hatcher II, Leesburg; daughter: Christel ( Adam ) Crawford, Knoxville, Tenn; and his grandson: Austin Crawford, Knoxville, Tenn. He also leaves behind four sisters: Jean E. Sturgill, Warsaw; Jacqueline Hatcher, Culver; Kathleen (Gary) Kilbourne, Pierceton; Vicki (Curtis) Holle, Bloomington; five brothers: Larry (Connie) Hatcher, Pierceton; James (Ann) Hatcher, Leesburg; Rick (Ginny) Hatcher, Warsaw; Nick (Connie) Hatcher, Warsaw; Tim Hatcher, Leesburg; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and
great-great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his mother Sinia Faye
Hatcher on Dec. 15, 2010 and his father Clarence Hatcher on Oct. 20,
2013.
Visitation will be held from noon – 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, at Living Hope Ministries, 595 East 350 North, Warsaw.
His funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015
at Living Hope Ministries and officiated by Pastor Lewis
Wedstel Shepherd. Burial will follow with a graveside service at Leesburg
Cemetery, Leesburg, Indiana with military rites. Arrangements were
entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw.
